Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Industry and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite declined 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Alakasa Industrindo Tbk (JK:ALKA), which rose 24.17% or 145 points to trade at 745 at the close. Surya Citra Media Tbk (JK:SCMA) added 19.74% or 610 points to end at 3700 and Prasidha Aneka Niaga Tbk (JK:PSDN) was up 17.82% or 18 points to 119 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Capitalinc Investment Tbk (JK:MTFN), which lost 16.87% or 14 points to trade at 69 in late trade. Bank Qnb Indonesia Tbk (JK:BKSW) declined 15.15% or 100 points to end at 560 and Indonesia Transport & Infrastructure (JK:IATA) shed 10.94% or 7 points to 57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 199 to 114 and 37 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.31% or 0.79 to $59.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.41% or 0.93 to hit $64.64 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.31% or 3.70 to trade at $1186.10 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.06% to 13218.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.27% to 10138.15.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 97.52.
