Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Agriculture, Financials and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite fell 1.18% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Eterindo Wahanatama Tbk (JK:ETWA), which rose 12.00% or 15 points to trade at 140 at the close. Hero Supermarket Tbk (JK:HERO) added 10.19% or 165 points to end at 1785 and Adaro Energy Tbk (JK:ADRO) was up 8.11% or 45 points to 600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kobexindo Tractors Tbk (JK:KOBX), which lost 32.02% or 57 points to trade at 121 in late trade. Bayu Buana Tbk (JK:BAYU) declined 16.67% or 200 points to end at 1000 and Radiant Utama Interinsco Tbk (JK:RUIS) shed 15.25% or 36 points to 200.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 241 to 72 and 44 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.75% or 0.35 to $47.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.35% or 0.72 to hit $52.75 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.36% or 3.90 to trade at $1093.00 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.22% to 13450.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.61% to 9874.70.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 96.98.
