Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 0.83% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.7300 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 0.56% or 0.0340 points to end at 6.1100 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.43% or 0.0550 points to 12.7500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which lost 1.95% or 0.1390 points to trade at 6.9750 in late trade. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 1.88% or 0.1150 points to end at 6.0000 and REN (LS:RENE) shed 1.84% or 0.0490 points to 2.6150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 29 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.26% or 0.65 to $50.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.21% or 0.61 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.74% or 9.30 to trade at $1273.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.0887, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8931.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 98.70.
