Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA), which rose 5.32% or 0.0230 points to trade at 0.4550 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPRu) added 3.48% or 0.2210 points to end at 6.5800 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 1.86% or 0.0070 points to 0.3840 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banif SA (LS:BANIF), which lost 3.45% or 0.0001 points to trade at 0.0029 in late trade. Impresa SGPS (LS:IMPA) declined 3.13% or 0.0200 points to end at 0.6190 and Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) shed 2.90% or 0.0330 points to 1.1060.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 31 to 21 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.83% or 0.90 to $49.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.48% or 0.68 to hit $46.74 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.53% or 6.10 to trade at $1141.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.1022, while EUR/GBP fell 0.56% to 0.7131.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.51% at 96.87.
