Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 2.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 4.70% or 0.1860 points to trade at 4.1400 at the close. Kesko Oyj B (HEL:KESBV) added 0.43% or 0.15 points to end at 34.76 and Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V) was down 0.07% or 0.02 points to 28.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV), which lost 10.75% or 3.92 points to trade at 32.54 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) declined 8.27% or 0.815 points to end at 9.045 and KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) shed 4.49% or 1.79 points to 38.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 121 to 45 and 5 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.27% or 0.15 to $56.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.61% or 0.31 to hit $50.75 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.20 to trade at $1104.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.06% to 1.0939, while EUR/GBP rose 1.09% to 0.7032.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.77% at 97.43.
