Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 0.93% or 0.0320 points to trade at 3.4600 at the close. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) added 0.31% or 0.12 points to end at 38.93 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.28% or 0.08 points to 29.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V), which lost 5.21% or 1.78 points to trade at 32.39 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 3.55% or 1.10 points to end at 29.92 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 3.21% or 1.36 points to 41.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 122 to 51 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 3.89% or 1.57 to $38.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 3.70% or 1.42 to hit $36.92 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.48% or 18.30 to trade at $1217.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1401, while EUR/GBP rose 1.16% to 0.8017.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 94.57.
