Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.26% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.88 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 0.56% or 0.040 points to end at 7.200 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 0.17% or 0.06 points to 35.59 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 4.34% or 0.1520 points to trade at 3.3500 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 3.34% or 0.116 points to end at 3.358 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) shed 2.88% or 0.59 points to 19.87.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 122 to 48 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.84% or 0.41 to $48.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.81% or 0.39 to hit $47.80 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.71% or 21.80 to trade at $1252.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1207, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.7671.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 95.28.
