Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.99% or 0.0840 points to trade at 2.8980 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.39% or 0.50 points to end at 21.40 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) was up 1.33% or 0.41 points to 31.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 2.29% or 0.088 points to trade at 3.752 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 2.23% or 0.21 points to end at 9.19 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 2.21% or 0.84 points to 37.16.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 59 and 8 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.48% or 0.24 to $50.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.17% or 0.55 to hit $47.65 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.10 to trade at $1166.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1387, while EUR/GBP rose 0.95% to 0.7470.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 94.77.
