Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.72% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which rose 0.55% or 0.19 points to trade at 34.86 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) added 0.31% or 0.04 points to end at 12.77 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) was up 0.19% or 0.02 points to 10.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 2.29% or 0.66 points to trade at 28.19 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.90% or 0.088 points to end at 4.552 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) shed 1.58% or 0.130 points to 8.115.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 54 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.01% or 0.48 to $47.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.56% or 0.26 to hit $45.97 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.43% or 5.45 to trade at $1270.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.46% to 1.1373, while EUR/GBP fell 0.46% to 0.7873.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 94.13.
