Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 0.48% or 0.04 points to trade at 7.36 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.27% or 0.11 points to end at 40.82 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was up 0.17% or 0.07 points to 41.43 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 3.14% or 0.146 points to trade at 4.500 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 2.48% or 0.77 points to end at 30.25 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) shed 1.82% or 0.072 points to 3.886.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 111 to 67 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.98% or 1.04 to $51.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.78% or 0.90 to hit $49.54 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1251.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1153, while EUR/GBP rose 1.48% to 0.8969.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 96.85.
