Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 1.02% or 0.37 points to trade at 36.64 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) added 0.82% or 0.12 points to end at 14.84 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 0.60% or 0.0500 points to 8.3700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 3.26% or 1.11 points to trade at 32.89 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 2.62% or 0.280 points to end at 10.410 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 2.03% or 0.16 points to 7.74.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 89 to 49 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 2.77% or 1.58 to $55.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 2.82% or 1.52 to hit $52.47 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.81% or 9.45 to trade at $1182.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.29% to 1.0564, while EUR/GBP rose 1.35% to 0.8691.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 102.00.
