Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.54% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which rose 0.45% or 0.03 points to trade at 6.76 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HEL:UPM1V) added 0.25% or 0.04 points to end at 15.76 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V) was up 0.18% or 0.05 points to 27.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V), which lost 2.73% or 0.160 points to trade at 5.700 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) declined 2.66% or 0.1120 points to end at 4.1040 and Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V) shed 2.60% or 0.75 points to 28.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 60 and 3 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 2.70% or 1.68 to $60.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.35% or 1.34 to hit $55.59 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.30% or 3.50 to trade at $1167.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1103, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.7132.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 96.20.
