Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.08% or 0.0800 points to trade at 7.4600 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 0.91% or 0.055 points to end at 6.080 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.42% or 0.13 points to 31.03 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 2.01% or 0.140 points to trade at 6.830 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 1.72% or 1.00 points to end at 57.10 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 1.61% or 0.58 points to 35.52.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 71 to 66 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.12% or 0.06 to $48.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.35% or 0.16 to hit $45.88 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.99% or 12.77 to trade at $1280.43 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.35% to 1.1217, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8674.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 96.95.
