Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 1.92% or 0.160 points to trade at 8.515 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.48% or 0.075 points to end at 5.140 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) was up 0.83% or 0.31 points to 37.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which lost 2.06% or 0.96 points to trade at 45.62 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.74% or 0.0900 points to end at 5.0900 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 1.45% or 0.058 points to 3.942.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 93 to 85 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.42% or 0.70 to $48.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.09% or 0.51 to hit $46.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.59% or 7.85 to trade at $1319.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.37% to 1.1147, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8520.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 96.01.
