Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which rose 5.50% or 0.29 points to trade at 5.66 at the close. TeliaSonera AB (HEL:TLS1V) added 3.25% or 0.162 points to end at 5.150 and Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) was up 1.69% or 0.40 points to 24.12 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V), which lost 6.41% or 1.65 points to trade at 24.10 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) declined 3.69% or 1.01 points to end at 26.36 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V) shed 2.51% or 0.93 points to 36.16.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 91 to 79 and 8 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.74% or 0.86 to $48.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.47% or 0.22 to hit $46.93 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.10 to trade at $1116.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.1317, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.7286.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 95.38.
