Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Healthcare and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which rose 1.05% or 0.45 points to trade at 43.51 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 0.89% or 0.20 points to end at 22.70 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 0.48% or 0.050 points to 10.490 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 2.01% or 0.115 points to trade at 5.615 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.28% or 0.19 points to end at 14.61 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) shed 0.83% or 0.032 points to 3.802.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 81 to 55 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 3.08% or 1.72 to $54.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 3.35% or 1.78 to hit $51.36 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.59% or 7.15 to trade at $1208.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.0544, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8676.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 102.11.
