Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.61% or 0.216 points to trade at 4.900 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 4.55% or 1.75 points to end at 40.25 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was up 3.96% or 0.92 points to 24.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 2.61% or 0.83 points to trade at 30.91 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.74% or 0.59 points to end at 33.37 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 1.19% or 0.095 points to 7.900.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 89 to 83 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.65% or 0.78 to $46.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.84% or 0.84 to hit $44.91 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.88% or 11.65 to trade at $1330.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1011, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.8335.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 97.02.
