Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 2.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS), which rose 4.18% or 0.97 points to trade at 24.19 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) added 4.13% or 0.1580 points to end at 3.9820 and Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) was up 3.82% or 0.86 points to 23.36 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV), which added 0.09% or 0.03 points to trade at 35.17 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) added 0.29% or 0.07 points to end at 24.25 and YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) gained 0.68% or 0.04 points to 6.64.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 139 to 32 and 6 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.44% or 0.26 to $58.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.25% or 0.13 to hit $52.91 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.40 to trade at $1162.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.19% to 1.1168, while EUR/GBP rose 0.37% to 0.7202.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.76% at 95.93.
