Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 2.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 5.08% or 0.160 points to trade at 3.310 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 4.54% or 0.230 points to end at 5.295 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was up 4.33% or 0.87 points to 20.97 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which lost 3.28% or 0.49 points to trade at 14.45 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 0.44% or 0.10 points to end at 23.08 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) gained 0.68% or 0.20 points to 29.59.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 125 to 45 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 5.93% or 2.34 to $41.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 6.20% or 2.31 to hit $39.57 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.43% or 5.30 to trade at $1242.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1412, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8081.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 94.18.
