Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.41% or 0.3900 points to trade at 7.6000 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 4.62% or 0.182 points to end at 4.120 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 2.95% or 0.23 points to 7.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 1.19% or 0.35 points to trade at 28.95 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) declined 0.14% or 0.03 points to end at 21.53 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) shed 0.11% or 0.004 points to 3.490.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 60 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.95% or 0.52 to $54.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.52% or 0.27 to hit $51.95 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.71% or 8.35 to trade at $1169.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.71% to 1.0739, while EUR/GBP rose 0.85% to 0.8453.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.39% at 100.36.
