Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 4.55% or 1.49 points to trade at 34.22 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 3.89% or 1.37 points to end at 36.58 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 3.37% or 0.148 points to 4.542 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 3.84% or 0.152 points to trade at 3.810 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 0.09% or 0.02 points to end at 23.49 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) gained 0.14% or 0.0100 points to 7.2950.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 73 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 4.14% or 1.84 to $46.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 4.50% or 1.95 to hit $45.27 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.22% or 2.65 to trade at $1224.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.0723, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.8638.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 100.22.
