Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.43% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.12% or 0.106 points to trade at 3.502 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.01% or 0.1100 points to end at 3.7600 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 2.31% or 0.96 points to 42.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which lost 1.73% or 0.074 points to trade at 4.212 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.41% or 0.125 points to end at 8.720 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 1.04% or 0.34 points to 32.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 89 to 87 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.66% or 0.33 to $50.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.11% or 0.55 to hit $49.88 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1217.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1145, while EUR/GBP rose 0.97% to 0.7683.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 95.72.
