Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA), which rose 2.43% or 0.79 points to trade at 33.30 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 1.44% or 0.30 points to end at 21.18 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 1.37% or 0.20 points to 14.83 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 0.87% or 0.32 points to trade at 36.56 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 0.86% or 0.19 points to end at 22.02 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 0.63% or 0.04 points to 6.33.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 42 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.40% or 0.21 to $53.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.22% or 0.11 to hit $50.46 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1245.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.0692, while EUR/GBP fell 0.41% to 0.8527.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 100.19.
