Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.18% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which rose 5.99% or 2.59 points to trade at 45.85 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 3.31% or 0.150 points to end at 4.680 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 3.16% or 0.80 points to 26.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which lost 9.03% or 3.65 points to trade at 36.76 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.73% or 0.2450 points to end at 6.3250 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) shed 2.36% or 0.74 points to 30.64.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 111 to 64 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.38% or 0.70 to $50.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.10% or 0.55 to hit $49.41 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.41% or 5.25 to trade at $1268.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.0915, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8921.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 98.56.
