Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 8.52% or 0.485 points to trade at 6.180 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 1.68% or 0.27 points to end at 16.32 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 1.00% or 0.43 points to 43.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which lost 1.14% or 0.38 points to trade at 32.89 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.03% or 0.110 points to end at 10.530 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) shed 0.80% or 0.030 points to 3.732.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 81 to 50 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.38% or 0.21 to $55.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.23% or 0.12 to hit $52.99 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 9.05 to trade at $1287.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.0627, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8485.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 100.37.
