The view has to be the price action on the chart you trade Monthly/weekly/daily have been pointing up since Oct23 low the channel shows what is to come as its pointing up so why should there be a reason?One can attach anything cause but effect is the chart in front of you like they say trade what you see and not what hear or think

In my view this is a short squeeze. Institutions taking the opportunity to fleece retail. This is an extreme price for the FTSE and the fundamentals don't warrant it (even with the pound being weak). It's always the case at these extremes - people get carried away and call for the move to go even further. I don't think it will. This isn't the Nasdaq. FTSE has a limit. We are surely at the peak now. Shorters just have to hang in there and trim if necessary to survive. The euphoria will fade eventually. Fed aren't going to cut rates this year. Mark my words. It's all just about the lens you can look through to understand I guess. I jumped back into ftse start of this year, and I remember a couple of comments stating 9000, with loads of down votes. But if your looking at the 6m, 12m tf, that's not a nuts view. I work in quarters, had a nice dither in 1st, now stretch out into the year, and before you know it, it'll be Autumn, and all the narrative will change to the general election and that whole circus.

Lots of the component parts of the FTSE100 are still undervalued. So it could go higher. I don’t think it will yet, or at least very much. There will be a drop first. I just get amused when you say “fundamentals”…apologies, don’t be offended. A couple of months ago you asked where the FTSE was going next and I predicted more or less what has happened in my answer to you. Sorry if my “fundamentals” comment upset you, was not intended to

I am still long on FTSE and Nasdaq from Monday. Normally I buy/sell 4 deals each day but sometimes is better to hold. Microsoft...thank you very much.
