The Domestic Environment and Energy Business segment operates municipal solid waste and water treatment plants, as well as offers sewage treatment facility and after-sale services for municipalities; and engages in operation of boiler, biomass power and industrial waste treatment plants, and supply of electric power and other facilities to public facilities and private companies. Overseas Environment and Energy Business segment generates energy from waste and energy plants. The Package Boiler Business segment manufactures and sells heat source equipment, such as general-purpose boilers and vacuum-type water heaters, as well as offers after sale services. Equipment and System Business segment engages in sale of and after-sale services related to building equipment, which includes air conditioning, water supply and drainage work, etc.; and provides semiconductor products to manufacturing industry. In addition, it offers O&M, operation management, and maintenance services; primary equipment improvement services; and operates power retail business. The company was formerly known as Takuma Boiler Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Takuma Co., Ltd. in 1972. The company was incorporated in 1938 and is headquartered in Amagasaki, Japan.
