U.S. stocks traded mixed, with the Dow Jones index falling around 70 points on Tuesday.
Shares of Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) rose during Tuesday’s session following better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results.
It clocked a sales decline of 0.3% year-on-year to $35.13 billion, beating the consensus of $34.64 billion. Adjusted EPS of $1.08 beat the consensus of $1.07.
Verizon shares gained 5.7% to $41.85 on Tuesday.

- Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ: PLUG) climbed 19.7% to $3.4000. Plug Power started production of liquid green hydrogen at its Georgia Plant.
- TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: TKO) gained 19.2% to $92.30 after the company announced a long-term partnership with Netflix that will bring WWE's Raw to Netflix.
- Dada Nexus Limited (NYSE: DADA) rose 15.8% to $2.3050.
- GDS Holdings Limited (NYSE: GDS) gained 15.1% to $6.74.
- IAMGOLD Corporation (NYSE: IAG) climbed 14.1% to $2.6250. IAMGOLD reported fourth-quarter production results and commissioning progress at Côté Gold.
- Spirit Airlines, Inc. (NYSE: SAVE) gained 13.2% to $9.03. Spirit Airlines and JetBlue announced that they will appeal a judge's ruling that blocked their proposed merger.
- Bilibili Inc. (NASDAQ: BILI) rose 12.4% to $10.36.
- Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: CSIQ) gained 12.3% to $23.64. Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, announced a $500 million capital commitment from BlackRock to grow its global renewable energy platform.
- NIO Inc. (NYSE: NIO) rose 10.7% to $6.63. Shares of Chinese stocks traded higher following reports suggesting China is considering a stock market rescue package.
- Arcutis Biotherapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARQT) gained 10.4% to $3.91. Arcutis Biotherapeutics recently announced the launch of ZORYVE topical foam, 0.3% for the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis.
- Alcoa Corporation (NYSE: AA) climbed 9% to $30.09.
- RTX Corporation (NYSE: RTX) gained 8.1% to $91.94 after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results and issued FY24 EPS outlook above estimates.
- Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE: BABA) rose 7.7% to $73.94. Shares of Chinese stocks traded higher following reports suggesting China is considering a stock market rescue package.
- GATX Corporation (NYSE: GATX) surged 7.6% to $127.64 following upbeat earnings.
- Baidu, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIDU) rose 7.3% to $107.02 following reports suggesting China is considering a stock market rescue package.
- XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) gained 7% to $9.99. Shares of Chinese stocks traded higher following reports suggesting China is considering a stock market rescue package.
- NetEase, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTES) rose 7% to $97.24 after China's gaming regulator removed draft rules from its website, which were proposed to limit spending and rewards that promote video game playing.
- United Airlines Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: UAL) shares gained 6.8% to $41.06 as the company reported better-than-expected financial results for its fourth quarter.
- Wheels Up Experience Inc. (NYSE: UP) gained 6.8% to $3.76.
- The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG) gained 4.8% to $155.05 following upbeat earnings.
