Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Technology and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which rose 9.68% or 0.640 points to trade at 7.250 at the close. Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER) added 6.40% or 2.15 points to end at 35.75 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 4.35% or 0.010 points to 0.230 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Emlak Konut Gmyo (IS:EKGYO), which lost 5.93% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.380 in late trade. Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) declined 5.60% or 0.20 points to end at 3.37 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) shed 4.94% or 0.040 points to 0.770.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 320 to 84 and 9 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was up 0.81% or 9.50 to $1188.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.65% or 0.39 to hit $60.01 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.04% or 0.68 to trade at $63.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.85% to 2.7366, while EUR/TRY rose 0.82% to 3.0817.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.28.
