Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 19.73% or 0.580 points to trade at 3.520 at the close. Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) added 7.95% or 1.08 points to end at 14.67 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 5.95% or 0.300 points to 5.340 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO), which lost 3.46% or 0.170 points to trade at 4.750 in late trade. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 3.45% or 0.060 points to end at 1.680 and Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) shed 3.27% or 0.200 points to 5.910.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 183 to 161 and 61 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.27% or 3.44 to $1265.46 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.43% or 0.20 to hit $46.28 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.48% or 0.23 to trade at $48.52 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 3.5217, while EUR/TRY rose 0.09% to 3.9438.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 97.06.
