Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Basic Metals and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.49% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which rose 6.48% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.300 at the close. Turk Hava Yollari (IS:THYAO) added 4.41% or 0.250 points to end at 5.920 and T.S.K.B. (IS:TSKB) was up 4.05% or 0.060 points to 1.540 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which lost 2.27% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.430 in late trade. Gsd Holding (IS:GSDHO) declined 1.67% or 0.010 points to end at 0.590 and AK Enerji (IS:AKENR) shed 1.14% or 0.010 points to 0.870.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 258 to 82 and 66 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.04% or 13.47 to $1275.63 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.79% or 0.39 to hit $49.23 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.61% or 0.32 to trade at $52.12 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.71% to 3.5767, while EUR/TRY fell 0.75% to 3.8806.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 99.06.
