Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Telecoms and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.99% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA), which rose 6.39% or 0.470 points to trade at 7.830 at the close. Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) added 5.79% or 0.140 points to end at 2.560 and Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) was up 5.50% or 0.51 points to 9.78 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Net Turizm Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:NTTUR), which lost 1.44% or 0.030 points to trade at 2.050 in late trade. Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) declined 0.99% or 0.040 points to end at 4.000 and Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) shed 0.91% or 0.65 points to 70.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 260 to 88 and 59 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.49% or 5.96 to $1233.46 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.67% or 0.31 to hit $46.23 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.47% or 0.23 to trade at $48.68 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.25% to 3.5306, while EUR/TRY fell 0.19% to 4.0514.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 94.95.
