Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Electricity and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pegasus (IS:PGSUS), which rose 10.46% or 1.240 points to trade at 13.090 at the close. Aksa Enerji (IS:AKSEN) added 6.93% or 0.160 points to end at 2.470 and Anadolu Cam (IS:ANACM) was up 5.48% or 0.120 points to 2.310 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which lost 2.76% or 0.17 points to trade at 6.00 in late trade. Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) declined 2.37% or 0.72 points to end at 29.60 and Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) shed 2.12% or 0.16 points to 7.39.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 207 to 135 and 61 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.26% or 3.55 to $1344.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.16% or 0.07 to hit $43.09 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.05 to trade at $45.34 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.51% to 2.9674, while EUR/TRY fell 0.30% to 3.2976.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 96.11.
