Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Leasing & Factoring and Metal Products & Machinery sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.93% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM), which rose 6.17% or 1.58 points to trade at 27.18 at the close. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) added 4.73% or 0.44 points to end at 9.74 and Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) was up 4.31% or 0.100 points to 2.420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which lost 2.53% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.770 in late trade. Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) declined 2.51% or 0.56 points to end at 21.72 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) shed 1.94% or 0.28 points to 14.14.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 200 to 138 and 70 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.87% or 10.63 to $1227.93 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.89% or 0.41 to hit $46.49 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.93% or 0.45 to trade at $48.87 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.75% to 3.5389, while EUR/TRY fell 0.33% to 4.0545.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 95.03.
