Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.68% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 9.84% or 0.250 points to trade at 2.790 at the close. Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM) added 5.51% or 0.220 points to end at 4.210 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) was up 3.70% or 0.50 points to 14.01 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which lost 2.28% or 0.16 points to trade at 6.86 in late trade. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 1.57% or 0.14 points to end at 8.77 and Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) shed 1.53% or 0.070 points to 4.520.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 202 to 146 and 59 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.39% or 4.72 to $1223.92 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.19% or 0.09 to hit $47.16 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.05 to trade at $49.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 3.5613, while EUR/TRY fell 0.01% to 4.0428.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.98.
