Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Technology and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 4.35% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. Eczacibasi Yatirim (IS:ECZYT) added 4.26% or 0.41 points to end at 10.03 and Emlak Konut Gmyo (IS:EKGYO) was up 3.70% or 0.100 points to 2.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which lost 3.82% or 5.00 points to trade at 126.00 in late trade. Migros Ticaret (IS:MGROS) declined 2.58% or 0.55 points to end at 20.75 and Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN) shed 2.17% or 0.150 points to 6.770.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 241 to 164 and 10 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was up 0.04% or 0.50 to $1202.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.06% or 1.25 to hit $59.57 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.58% or 1.66 to trade at $62.60 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.54% to 2.6977, while EUR/TRY fell 0.77% to 3.0587.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.42.
