Investing.com - The UK markets concluded with losses this Friday with downs in the sectors of banking, retail, and finance driving indices downwards. At the end of the session, the FTSE 100 fell by 0.94%. FTSE 250 and FTSE 350 fell by 0.35% and 0.91%, respectively.
Spirax-Sarco Engineering PLC (LON:SPX) showed the best performance on the FTSE 100 with an increase of 2.64%, followed by DS Smith PLC (LON:SMDS) and Entain (LON:ENT) showing gains of 2.42% and 2.24% respectively. However, not all stocks performed well; Rolls-Royce (LON:RR) fell by 3.30%.
Meanwhile, the daily performances for GBP/USD, EUR/GBP, and EUR/USD are on the down side with all decreased 0.49%, 0.30%, 0.81% respectively.
