Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 3.01% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which fell 1.50% or 2.7 points to trade at 177.5 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) fell 1.51% or 3.1 points to end at 201.8 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 1.67% or 2.40 points to 141.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKI), which lost 5.32% or 3.20 points to trade at 57.00 in late trade. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) declined 4.40% or 12.1 points to end at 262.8 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 4.10% or 1.90 points to 44.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 394 to 38 and 1 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.98% or 1.18 to $58.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.06% or 1.30 to hit $61.95 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.30 to trade at $1177.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.52% to 9.2252, while USD/SEK fell 0.56% to 8.2538.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 95.36.
