Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 4.84% or 4.20 points to trade at 90.95 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 1.46% or 2.40 points to end at 167.10 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 0.12% or 0.20 points to 173.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which lost 3.97% or 3.8 points to trade at 92.0 in late trade. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 3.28% or 5.6 points to end at 164.9 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) shed 2.72% or 3.6 points to 128.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 405 to 156 and 61 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.69% or 0.32 to $46.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.50% or 0.24 to hit $48.20 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.64% or 8.75 to trade at $1367.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.05% to 9.4460, while USD/SEK rose 0.02% to 8.5248.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 96.25.
