Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which rose 2.55% or 3.50 points to trade at 140.80 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 1.94% or 4.00 points to end at 210.20 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) was up 1.39% or 3.5 points to 254.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which lost 20.27% or 12.54 points to trade at 49.31 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) declined 5.33% or 2.53 points to end at 44.94 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) shed 2.85% or 2.70 points to 92.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 411 to 197 and 53 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.18% or 0.60 to $50.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.82% or 0.43 to hit $51.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1254.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.18% to 9.7313, while USD/SEK rose 0.14% to 8.8313.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 97.94.
