Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 0.79% or 0.60 points to trade at 76.60 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 0.42% or 0.40 points to end at 96.25 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 0.41% or 0.5 points to 121.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which lost 2.01% or 5.2 points to trade at 253.3 in late trade. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) declined 1.53% or 2.20 points to end at 141.30 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) shed 1.51% or 2.50 points to 163.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 409 to 202 and 51 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.29% or 0.65 to $49.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.19% or 0.62 to hit $51.33 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1256.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.07% to 9.6958, while USD/SEK fell 0.27% to 8.8163.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 97.89.
