Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 1.08% or 0.70 points to trade at 65.70 at the close. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) added 0.92% or 0.34 points to end at 37.24 and Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs) was up 0.88% or 1.3 points to 149.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which lost 1.87% or 4.7 points to trade at 246.9 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.74% or 0.62 points to end at 34.97 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 1.52% or 3.70 points to 240.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 311 to 285 and 72 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.55% or 0.81 to $53.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.46% or 0.81 to hit $56.28 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.32% or 3.75 to trade at $1165.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.08% to 9.5426, while USD/SEK fell 0.56% to 9.1100.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.60% at 102.62.
