Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 3.18% or 7.30 points to trade at 237.20 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 3.08% or 5.00 points to end at 167.10 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 3.07% or 1.18 points to 39.63 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 1.43% or 0.44 points to trade at 30.33 in late trade. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) declined 0.26% or 0.60 points to end at 229.90 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) shed 0.07% or 0.10 points to 141.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 402 to 325 and 66 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.61% or 0.74 to $46.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.39% or 0.68 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.50% or 18.69 to trade at $1223.61 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.01% to 9.6350, while USD/SEK rose 0.51% to 8.4756.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 95.91.
