Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa), which rose 4.18% or 11.0 points to trade at 274.4 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) added 3.97% or 9.4 points to end at 246.1 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 3.33% or 2.55 points to 79.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which lost 4.02% or 6.5 points to trade at 155.0 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 2.53% or 2.25 points to end at 86.85 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 1.38% or 0.40 points to 28.52.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 315 to 294 and 47 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.83% or 0.95 to $50.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.07% or 1.09 to hit $51.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1268.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.06% to 9.6885, while USD/SEK rose 0.27% to 8.8595.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.37% at 98.23.
