Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.68% or 1.06 points to trade at 40.67 at the close. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) added 2.50% or 4.1 points to end at 168.2 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 2.02% or 2.40 points to 121.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which lost 1.14% or 1.05 points to trade at 90.75 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 1.00% or 2.5 points to end at 246.7 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) shed 0.91% or 1.2 points to 131.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 278 to 153 and 5 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.56% or 0.74 to $48.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.36% or 0.20 to hit $53.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.00 to trade at $1094.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.27% to 9.4663, while USD/SEK rose 0.64% to 8.5653.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 96.80.
