Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which rose 1.95% or 6.9 points to trade at 359.9 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) added 1.73% or 2.2 points to end at 129.6 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 0.83% or 1.50 points to 181.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which lost 1.42% or 1.30 points to trade at 90.25 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 0.75% or 1.8 points to end at 238.4 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) shed 0.59% or 0.60 points to 100.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 220 to 213 and 8 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.26% or 0.11 to $43.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $49.13 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.47% or 5.20 to trade at $1117.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 9.4412, while USD/SEK rose 0.21% to 8.5243.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 96.83.
