Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which rose 2.15% or 3.6 points to trade at 171.1 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 2.06% or 5.7 points to end at 282.9 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 1.81% or 2.40 points to 134.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which lost 0.95% or 2.6 points to trade at 271.0 in late trade. Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb) declined 0.19% or 0.7 points to end at 359.1 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) shed 0.13% or 0.3 points to 231.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 374 to 307 and 70 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.35% or 0.19 to $53.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.54% or 0.30 to hit $56.11 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1239.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.22% to 9.4830, while USD/SEK rose 0.26% to 8.9304.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 100.85.
