Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 3.32% or 0.98 points to trade at 30.47 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 3.23% or 15.80 points to end at 505.00 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.74% or 2.20 points to 128.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which lost 1.83% or 0.90 points to trade at 48.33 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 0.91% or 4.4 points to end at 477.1 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) shed 0.74% or 1.2 points to 160.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 283 to 254 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.56% or 0.62 to $40.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.88% or 0.79 to hit $42.73 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.23% or 15.30 to trade at $1259.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.39% to 9.2566, while USD/SEK fell 0.69% to 8.1133.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 93.99.
