Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which rose 3.75% or 5.20 points to trade at 143.70 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 2.77% or 26.5 points to end at 984.5 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 2.15% or 3.06 points to 145.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb), which lost 1.25% or 3.6 points to trade at 283.5 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) declined 1.12% or 3.6 points to end at 318.0 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) shed 0.95% or 2.9 points to 303.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 413 to 309 and 79 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.61% or 0.78 to $49.10 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.22% or 0.62 to hit $51.38 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.69% or 8.78 to trade at $1263.22 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.19% to 9.7485, while USD/SEK rose 0.12% to 8.6959.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 97.14.
