Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 1.43% or 2.1 points to trade at 149.0 at the close. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) added 1.19% or 2.1 points to end at 178.6 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) was up 1.11% or 2.5 points to 228.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa), which lost 2.16% or 2.40 points to trade at 108.60 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 1.19% or 2.5 points to end at 208.3 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) shed 1.11% or 2.6 points to 230.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 224 to 203 and 5 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.59% or 0.83 to $53.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.96% or 0.56 to hit $58.71 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1154.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.29% to 9.3667, while USD/SEK rose 0.16% to 8.5062.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.83.
